Within a few days shall be the Centenial of the death of the last of the
Fredrick Line. Namely King Fredrick III. Being of Royal Blood I feel that this
day should be marked. In so doing I propose to hold a contest that shall begin
on that day. I have set my man "Tremptatious" loose to hide in the Kingdom at
large. The first three contestants to find him and leave a message with him
shall be elligable for the next stage of the contest. They will then have to
journey to my Castle in the Southern Mountains. There they will set thier Mode
to Mode 2 and have a joust. I shall ask Dan to oversee this event. They will
have to draw for turns. By that I mean who goes first and so on. Any that
retire from the battle will be considered defeated and the opponent given the
chance for healing before the next match. They can fight on till death should
occure if they wish. This will be a round robin between the three finalists.
The prizes are as follows.

1)First to Find Trempatious 100sp
2)Second to Find Tremptatious 50 sp
3)Third to Find Tremptatious 25sp
4)Winner of the Round Robin 400sp


PLease announce your intentions to partisipate in this room or you will not
qualify. I hope that this quest and joust may take some time so as to retain
the memory of the Fredricks in our hearts and minds that much longer. The

Any Person who uses the castle at 788, may not like your choice of 682.
Wouldn't you be better off in a castle anyways.

I had thought that Mandorallen had declaired 788, 682, 630 all to be open.
Meaning any could use these places. You would be better off to buy your own
castle but silver is a little hard to get in that quantity.

I have come to the conclusion that all the major lords left in the world are
most honourable. last night I called on Prince Bardia and Mandorallen for
help. This morning when I logged in they had both finished helping me. I can
not begin to thank them more. I think we've finally advanced to teh point
where all the powerful characters in the world, what we call the honourable
lords can actually trust each other. I think it is time that we can actually
coexist to destroy those opposing us instead of fighting each other. i really
do belive it can really work as I've seen many opportunities where i could
have been killed but these honoorable lords did not use my moments of weakness
to stump me out, they instead let a worthy man live so he could help them in
the future. Of course it was a good decision but none the less it would be
most tempting to kill the renown Duke Samwise. unfortunately they wouldn't
have gone up much levels as I spent all my money. :-) I'd like to propose a
new council. A counsil where Mandorallen, jetsam, Samwise and prince Bardia
can sit. Perhaps when Fire Elf comes back from his island hideaway he can
adapt to the new world and join the council of Lords. Dan could you create a
room for our "Coucil of Lords" and invite those four alias accounts.

I find ebryone's chatter quite amusing. Abernathy of olddid not kill anybody
except Booner who rebelled. Obviously everyone got quite fustrated when every
character on the board threw themselves against him, and if they died, well it
appears their kin blamed it on him. Abernathy the "villian" did not kill
Belgarion. He scolded him for slaying Swiftwind, but took no offensive action.
If you say I can't be pardoned, tell me what I must be pardoned for doing? I

a waste of land as council property.

So when I suggested a property split, to the Lords, and 630 made for better

Death Now A Reality!!!!

When a Character is now killed in TKC the validated field in the Registration
Record is changed to notify the program of this fact for when the player next
tries to create that character. He will get a prompt that "This Character
Reported Killed." As there are still three Alias Accounts allowable, a player
will not have difficulty playing until all three characters are killed. He
shall then have to wait until the Alias Account Scrolls or Clerics are
introduced, that will be able to raise from the dead. Perhaps this will slow
down the senseless slaughter, and finalize any slaughter that does occure.

Well Prince Bardia attacked me. I was in mode 3 (battle until death) and I'm
still alive. I have made assumptions, I wont believe he is alive until I am in
the same hex and see his name printed BEFORE mine, as he should be older. Then
I'll know he has been recreated. My hypothesis is he died attacking me and
then recreated his character and wants people to remain loyal to him so he can
get quick money to strengthen himself up again. I would ask you all to stop
being loyal to him and be loyal to Mandorallen or myself, "Samwise". I am
stronger than ever before, I've taken shelter up north as it is harder to find
me there. I will come down again and see how the world is doing, until then.

Samwise, I had your man killed for two reasons. 1) Prince Bardia decreed(sp?)
that all within his kindom be in mode 2 and I was just checking, if he was in
mode 2 I would have given him money for his healing but he was in mode 1.
2) Prince Bardia said none were allowed within the kindom without invition
and he had none and all I knew he was an assassin.
And who are you to talk, one of the loyal followers of Prince Bardia was
attacked more then once as he travelled to his lord's castle and he was on the
outskrits of your land. You also ordered someone to attack the Prince's
castle. If you want one of your men to travel through the Mouain Kingdom of
Prince Bardia inform him and myself and have your man on mode 2!

BTW I have always wondered why Bardia wants people in mode 2? Is it so they
are all easy pray fo you? You can attack retreat and heal and finsish even the
most powerful characters off. No thanks all my important people travel in mode
3 so they can protect themself against that sort of thing. That's a stupid and
unfair rule. I have no such rule and I don't believe Mandorallen does either.

Indeed Lord Mandorallen! If you have charts at your disposal, please note that
the Southern Mountain Restrictions that I have imposed, is but a small corner
of the South East, which the Lord's agreed I should have claim to rule. The
reason why I demand Mode 2 is so that I may then check Loyalty settings. If
this were possible in Mode 3, then I would allow that Mode.

henchman of mine went into 96 and killed 4 of Bardia's men, including Grog.

Could you make loyalty readable in Mode 3 as well. Just because you can't
retreat from a battle doesn't mean you wouldn't be able to ask him for his
loyalty. I mean you can take time to send him a message or exchange funds. Why
shouldn't loyalty be able to be detected. It would give the people the
protection they want and the Lords the knowledge they demand. Everybody would
be happy, at least from where I see it now... Any arguments?

Well my answer to your challenge was clear enough. I love your story about
your purse... almost believable. So what is it Duke, you've made another new
character and realize that I would kick your butt should you appear? Samwise
loyalists see the honor of his own challenge that your cowardly duke shows?

All Loyal To Bardia:
Track down this newly generated duke and kill him without question. That
goesfor the Guild as well. There is a 500sp bounty on his head and a 100sp
reward for information leading to his location and subsequent death. I would
make it more but any 40hp character with a dagger can now probably do the job.

You shall find a new option in the Market Menu called 'Gossip Tree'. This is
the message base for the Castle in which your character is in. Right now
messages can only be written and read from the file. I will be adding a way to
purge the file, I just haven't decided who or how this should be accomplished.
The Routines however are just about all there to do the task, so let's hear
some feedback on that point. This should be a handy way for characters to keep
in touch while on active duty in the same hex. I.E. Mode 1 setting. There have
already been a few accidental deaths when attempting interactions of troops on
alert. I need not mention any names or titles... :-)

All the people at 739 were set to mode 1. Jetsam not aware that this was the
case went to the Island and was attacked by General Darkstorm. Jetsam although
cought off gaurd fended of his attack then removed his head from his
shoulders.
Hoping to avoid any more trouble Jetsam made a move to leave the castle,
where he was then attacked by Prince Bardia, who being a better warrior
murdered Jetsam.
Upon hearing this I became upset, and went to talk to Prince Bardia, and he
then attacked _ME_!!! His last mistake. I was forced by him, to kill him(a
death wish maybe??).

I want all to know that the Prince Bardia/Samwise feud is over. As they
both have perished.

It seems Dan's fix did not work and I am alive and well, being down to 17HPs.
That must have been quite the last swing HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I had given notice to stay off that island and it had been publicly claimed
when I killed Samwise. Only because you did not continue a mop up of my forces
have I spare you. After Jetsam found Prince Bardia in Mode 1, why would
Mandorallen 'come to talk'? You annoy me Mandy... Remove yourself from the
island immediately! If you are there on my awakening I shall slay you. There
is a gossip tree thing, if you haven't heard about it, that messages can now
be sent to characters in Mode 1 without encounter. Yet I don't think a message
of that sort is what you had in mind, was it Mandy? All witness my magic lives
on... let us ask Mandy to do a 'who shares hex' for us to confirm my words.
And then get your butt off the island, of course.

I will send a note notifying Bardia to only be defensive WHEN OFF THE ISLAND
of 739 and 740. This is a comprimise until I get things fixed in that regard.
He will be allowed to be offensive on those TWO hexes. I thought he may act as
a good Gladiator/Duelling setting all in one. If you like the idea, I shall
give Bardia's player adiquate henchmen to make the enounter of Bardia an
interesting quest. If and when one of the adventurers kills him (test out the
rooutine) I will put these henchmen on the Henchman's List. It would have the
added unknown of if this is the time that Bardia would actually be killed.
James fill me in on details of your encounter with him so that we could better
know what to expect when encountering the, still magical, Prince Bardia.

NOTICE TO TKC Players:

The problem of all three alias account named characters being killed in TKC
has begun to appear. I have been asked what happens when this event comes to
pass. Well there are two options. I have made the .H USERS File automatically
re-written each night now with the Utility Run. Therefore you could check for
your alias account(s) and see if they have scrolled. If they have let me know
and register another and you should be playing again soon. There is another
option.
I felt it unfair to bar the map owners from playing, after showing such
dedication to the game, in thier purchase. Therefore they shall always be
allowed one character at any time the game is available on this system.
This brought an interesting thought, in terms of an addition. I am thinking
of adding to the Henchman's list 'Buy a Henchman. This would permit, with a
certain number of Siver up front, the creation of a new character. With this
feature in play, the game could continue without lack of character pieces,
with a dozen or so players. It is just another thought in the Game Play
Development, which is still really under test.

Well the last of the Trolls that I have seen was Benzol Troll. He had been
hiding in the mountains since the Troll King's Death it seemed and I was lucky
enough to gain him into my employe. He layed his life down for the Loyalty he
carried of me. He crossed swords with the mighty Samwise, honoring a Troll's
Promise that he had left with Samwise before. He died in this action. If
indeed this Rolund be half Troll then his claim may be a juste one, for I know

AS powers seem to go down and down. I see only three major forces.
Mandorallen and his armies, Enduval the traveler and his band, And the
Assasins Guild ( actually I think we are becoming more of a bounty hunting

It looks like Bardia's majic is even stronger now as , not only does he not
die, but he seems to steal back all the silver, and time spent in his hex, is
set back to what it was like before you encountered him.

Either that or Bardia should learn a little more control. He goes wild to

I do not understand what you mean by control. I have killed but one man in the
whole Southern conflict with Samwise and that was HIM! I warned all to stay
off of the island of 739 and 740 during this troubled time. Players either
ignored it or didn't read the notes. I can truthfully say that the carnage
that has been happening of late has not been at the hands of my loyal troops.
Proudfoot was killed by patrols following orders of posted Mode and Loyalty
settings while in the Southern Kingdom. He was also suspected of an attack
although Samwise used his nornal routine of blaming it on someone else while
doing it himself. A little trick out of Martin The Vile's old hand book; may
he rest in peace. No gentlemen and ladies what I offer you is an unbroken
tradition. No King is absolute... yet my banner offers unification of this
splintered realm since 155 long days ago when the last of the Fredricks was
slain by Savage Sarth.

I would enjoy seeing bardia plagued by a dwarven invasion, if you are the

military aid....I am no fan of Bardia and would like to see a new king "under

Ya right no Half-Troll will be able to rule that Kingdom and I believe no
Troll exists with My beloved friend Benzoll Troll dead. He was the last of
our race. ( Or was he? ) However I would not stand for some half troll who
has the gual to say he likes being human. Punny insignifacant race. We will

I agree, with the troll king gone the world is missing a stablising
force....where the power is divided there is confusion....we need a strong

Once again the masses have heard me wrong. I stated that when I first came to
this world I didn't acknowledge my troll ancestory but I now embrace it with
all my heart and soul. If you need proof, I have the magic of the trolls. I
was in the Troll Castle when Samwise had it attacked and was killed. I was
reborn of the rock again. While I travelled to Troll Castle I was killed
again in my weakened state but was reborn again. I shall rule the mountains
until one of true royal troll blood and I shall let him rule if he passes the
test.
So the dwarves stick their grubby heads out from under the rocks again do
they??? Durin come to Troll Castle if you want and I shall put you back under
the stones, a gravestone.
Fire Elf, in times past you were allied with the Troll King I would like to
see the trolls and elves aligned once again.
I shall mull over what you have said Prince Bardia.

It's good to see that I'm remembered because I had most of you running around
in a wild goose chase while I safely went the other way. And
proud Mandorallen, you were such the fool. The day I came to your kingdom
was the beginning of a fun time. The time when I kept pickng off your men
one by one and I had you believing that it was an assassign. And the
other time when I attacked you and I said that I was under the spell of a
wizard. I did have a way with words. I think that is why I stayed for so long.
But that was then and this is now, oh the stories I could tell, good bye

Half Troll, I heard that you put a price on my late knight Jetsam. But that
you were such a sniviller/whiner/pain that they canced the contract. Who
would want something like that for thier Lord. You will have a lonely rule,
with you your only subject, and I heard a rumour that it will be a short reign

Half-Trolls, are they not a strange breed... Bards tell stories of how many a
half-breed was shun by both races, human and Troll... Is that the case here
? How can a racial misfit... rule. It shall be interesting to watch the
realm pass by as an everlasting Spirit. It is unfornate that Jetsam & I
fought; I salute you honor, in battle. No matter what side, it is always bad
when a good warrior goes down.
