highest Caritas Knight or personal guard you killed was a mere level 5. You
will have a much tougher time when it comes down to one on one battle between
us, which is bound to occur, the battle which will end the war between Caritas
and Krondor forever. I have many supporters, and you are not too well
received... the end is near.
As for Caritas Knight1, the only reason he was a first level character is
because a bug prevented him from rising any higher.

The Caritas Council, still headed by King Great Gamer consists of only
himself, Warlord, Lothar Greyhawk and Prince Marcus at this time, and the
vacancy shall soon be filled.
As of late the question of a common loyality has popped up within the
Council. There was legislation before concerning this matter but due to the
circumstances at the time, it was unable to be announced. The proposal agreed
upon is very similar to the legislation previously passed...
Effective immediately, common loyalities may be enforced. It has been
suggested, and now implemented that ALL in the realm are to have loyality set
to ANY member in the Caritas Council, or to the Trolls.

Nigel Troll and rest of the world: There is a new patrol below troll keep.
This is the Hevin patrol. All are well equiped and are under my control.
Anyone caught assualting my keep or my men will pay the price if they do not
kill you first. They are to merely keep peace with the troll kingdom and to
rid this underlying sector of Orcs, Bandits, and Assassians. Any wishing to
join this patrol and be given a sum of money depending on level set loyalty to
me and meet me at hex 251 or 252. These are a Temple and a Market. Any
robberies will be acted upon by my guards. As of now you can get in from any
directions but with in 10 days the place will contain walls, gates, and be
heavily patrolled. If you encounter walls on your travels simply go to the
gate at 500 it shall be open and access to the temple and Market permited.
The gates at 250 leading into the guild and inner keep will be locked and any
found beyond this gate other than my guards or those permitted will be
terminated immediately. Any assasians found ith in 200 hexes of this castle
and its walls will be killed and from hence forth a bountyof 2000sp will go to
any one bringing an assasians head to the temple or any news to the market of
where assasians may be found or who thier leader is. I have relatively no
limti to funds so any with information or any wishing to join the HEVIN squad
should meet at the temple or market with in 20 days of today..

Well finally it is installed and the hardcoded TKC is history. There will
be a few changes as I had a much wider range of configuration and adjusted
some hex costs to movement. I also am able to restrict character type by
character type movement restrictions to terrain type. One example is that now
although all character types but type 2 (Mariners) are restricted from terrain
type 4 (Water) all type 2 character types are restricted from all but terrain
type 15 (Temples) and Type 4 (Water). Other changes could be added from time
to time, like making type 5 (Mountains) 'Snow Covered Mountains', during TKC
winter and douubling thier movement cost.

This dispute between Krondor and Caritas has gone on long enough. Since the
death of Mandorallen, Caritas had to constantly deal with someone in the
Krondor ranks, whether it be Dalisari, Tempus Thales or as of lately Enduval.
As king, I cannot waste all my time on Krondor. I must set my sights to the
future and budget my time with my subjects who have supported me even though
they knew if Krondor found them it could mean death.
To call an end to this dispute between Krondor and Caritas, I offer thee
Enduval a challenge... a one on one battle to the death. And seeing how we are
both mariners, I see no better location than on the open seas to ensure no
interferance by either side. Put the honor of Krondor at stake, and let this
be the final episode between Caritas and Krondor. What say'th thee?

I have cut some of the saves of the character files from the Movement Routines
to speed the process a bit. They had been installed when crashes were a more
common phenomena. Saves are only made at the end of the automove call. So if
you said to move east 20 hexes, whether days are advanced or not the save will
only take place when you arrive there. Using option 0 does not save at all. I
will trim out even more of them if players consensus say they want to take the
chance in return for speed of movement handling. Please send any discussion on
the matter to Royal Blood Inn. A force save option could be added to the
movement menu if you ABSOLUTELY don't want something to be lost. Then it would
be up to the player to ensure in-session saves.

Well I am pleased to see that Krondor is not lacking in honor. The event shall
take place at Goon Dome and shall work as follows...

As both King Gamer and Lord Enduval are Mariners a battling pond shall be
constructed by my Engineer, Torid. Each contestant shall be Squad Mached to
the edge of the Pond. They shall be able to move into the pond when they are
ready. This will ensure that they go with thier free will into the battle.
Once on the pond they will not be able to move off it. They will be able to
encounter the other opponent. The check for terrain type comes into play after
encounter checks. Both shall be given opportunity to go to the Temple to pray
for strengh before the contest. Enduval is already at the sight, though in the
Stockade for unlawful entry, yet all charges shall be dropped once this battle
is over... one way or the other. Gamer is now invited to journey to Goon Dome
to prepare for the contest. May the best man emerge as the true King of all
mortals.

My king, why is your battle taking place at the place they call Goon Dome? If
this be a defending of the crown, and if this would be your last stand, I
suggest you move the battle to the Capitol. History shows that kings have
always met their end at their own domain. I'm not saying you'll lose, but the
possibility should be considered. History shows King Frederick I and II as
well as Abernathy were killed at the Old Capitol. You yourself must surely
remember Mandorallen's death in his keep, and well if the trend is to
continue, consider the Capitol as the battleground.

I am not afraid of the one on one match with Enduval. Captain Max has made
negociations incredibly difficult. We couldn't even get a single simple
negociation. The problem at present is that someone in Capt. Max's employment
is believed to be inside Goon Dome. This certain individual knows who he is
and well quite frankly I know he'd attack me if given the oppurtunity. If this
is to be a true one on one then it must be between Enduval and myself with no
interferance. It is this interferance that I've tried to negociate with Max.
Asking one person to leave Goon Dome and prove he left does not sound like a
difficult task, yet it is the sole reason the battle has not yet occured.
I'm less than two days from the Dome, so making it there by 1180 is no
problem. If only Max would send the individual from Goon Dome and prove he has
left, this battle can get underway. Oh how a simple request can take so
long...

Historically you are claiming Troll Property. This is particularily obvious
in your South West corner marker, which connected to the North Western one
would run straight through mountain terrain. King Gamer himself has recognised
all mountain area in the southern mainland as Troll Kingdom. Depending on the
outcome of the contest, this could be here or there, although I think Krondor
will have something to say about other areas you lay claim to, should that be
the case. Nigel has announced that the winner of the contest shall have the
support of the Royal Troll Guard, so if you wish to avoid, potentially, going
to war with two seperate Duchies perhaps you should consult your neighbors
about thier borders. I suspect you are in a satellite Keep of Stonefist, which
through Treaty between Krondor and Troll Kingdom, during the time of my

As their are no official postings of the boundaries of the different duchies
then I could not know of whose lands I infringe upon. It would seem
reasonable that the lords of Krondor and Troll Kingdom pst their boundaries
and we could work it out around them.
As to "Flyer's Eyrie" being a sattelite of "Stonefist", this seems rather
foolish since it is not only larger than "Stonefist" (or it is now anyway) and
over 100 hexes away. As to the SW corner being in the middle of the Troll
Kingdom, I think that one's lands should be based on the lords ability to
patrol them and I have not seen many Trolls (in fact none) 100 hexes to the
east of Troll Keep.
My postings are only 40 hexes from my center at 5390 and is a relatively
small area. So if the Lords of Troll Kingdom and Krondor ( Nigel Troll and
Enduval ) would post their boundaries, then we can discuss further.

Regardless of what 'you think', Troll Kingdom has traditionally been easily
disernable... all mountain terrain in the southern land mass. Perhaps you are
confusing Thor's old Keep with Stonefist proper and indeed you may be in
Stonefist proper. In the days before the great flood there was a satillite
Keep called Castle Cain. At one time the Keep of Edward of Cain who was killed
in the Cain-Stonefist war and his Keep was burned once... then rebuilt I had
thought, although I have never visited there myself. Perhaps Castle Cain is
still below the flood waters. If indeed you are in Stonefist, then some would
say you are in Asgard Duchie and the Krondorians would no doubt say Krondor,
yet when you are in mountain terrain, as for example to your immediate south
west, you are in what has been known as Troll Kingdom since days before humans
walked this earth.

Another historical point of reference is that no Lord since Son of Swiftwind,
who sat in the Council of Lords, before Mandorallen's Reign, has ever layed
claim to the oceans and thereby potentially enforcing movement apon them. As
most Duchies border water (indeed even mountainous Troll Kingdom and my Dome
Keep) I am sure you may be attempting to start a precidence that is not
desirerable.

same I'm sure he would not have been given the same grace period to leave.
As for a duel, what have I to gain from it? I have already dueled your wimpy
Foot soldier5 to a deciding conclusion. Am I required to fight my way through
the entire Troll Army? Besides I have no honour anyway, being of Orc stock I
do not even comprehend the term. I am young and relish odds of greater than
50% So apologize to me at once or be prepared to wake up with a cold blade

Early this morning an elite assault force breached the defenses of Goon Dome.
Immediately, Torid Troll tried to block escape, but he was taken out quickly.
Unfortunately he was learned in the art of regeneration, and reincarnated
himself on the spot. (No log file) Unperturbed by this development my cadre
found the swine Enduval cringing in a Temple in the back of the Keep. A brief
skirmish ensued and in the end Enduval and Lord Callindrill both lay in a
heap, unmoving.
Next King Great Gamer was tackled. Wielding a two-handed sword in only one
haand and a Javelin in the other Gamer dispatched Graystealth and one other.

Any who are curious as to what the results of the duel would have been should
it have occurred, I assure you my predecessor would have easily prevailed.
Not wanting to mess with an immortal a forced exit was attempted through the
East gate, where various Dome Guards waited in mode 1. The clamour awoke the
snoring McVee and he rushed to the battle, sending my Mariner to a watery
grave. However his over confidence led him to continue the assault and our
Mariner was avenged. One of the minions of Death then conquered with ease the
three remaining Dome Guards.
Bandit3 being a light sleeper left his post in the Storehouse and caught a
soldier or two slowed by wounds on their way out.

The new capital is Silverthorn, any scum left in there I suggest they leave
wel they can. I am sorry for the death of Gamer as he was a good and Noble
man. Enduval is a different story and in the end he rued his words to me I'm
sure. As have numerous others in the past.
I believe Stonefist is now in my Duchy of Krondor and as it lies empty as
part of my works towards the betterment of the Land, I would ask candidates to
pledge their loyalty to me so that it can be granted to some worthy Lord.
The same goes for my previous Keep at 250, however is granted this will have
walls and gates built for them by me.
I have sent correspondence to Nigel Troll and hope that he will join me in
building up public highways, temples and markets. I may be a harsh dude but I
do have the concerns of the public at heart.
As for the Council or Lords, a new one will be created, and I would invite
Prince Marcus to sit on it with his vast experience.

I have long heard rumours of a descendent of the great Troll Kings being in
the ranks of the Assassin's Guild. After today I must say I believe them to
be true.
A young Troll in my Guard, after defeating both Torid and McVee was challenged
by Capt. Max in the final withdrawal. He was sorely wounded from his other
battles, but could not deny the great Capt. this final battle. Staunchly he
turned and faced the looming Max. A battle such as I have never before
witnessed ensued and this young Troll was left standing. Amazingly he had
defeated Capt. Max.
A bolt of lightning rent the sky, and a large clap of thunder was heard. I
am still pondering the meaning of this, but am sure it will be made clear in
time. I am convinced of the authenticity of this Trolls claim, and in time I
believe that the Troll King will return. If such an event were to happen I
would have to bow to him.

Wow!!! What happened here. I am wondering if justice and honour was dished
out properly here. Hmmmmm. I think I see the makings of a good King in
Ulfgar, if these roads temples and markets are true. He also from the sounds
of things fought Capt. Max's forces one on one no easy feat. Many other lords
would have, I think run, at the face of haveing to meet those odds. Or at
least would have comprimised there honour and settled to be taken alive. If
what you say about helping the kingdom with these roads and temples is trand
my 6 men will support you in your undertakings. However, I loath the thought
of working for the King of Assassins and will not hesitate to withdraw my
support if any of your promises prove to be false. I found that King Gamer
was to busy fighting trivial battles then looking after his kingdom. I also

Gamer had his downfall in Goon Dome, for a much more honorable location would
have been his Capitol.
Great Gamer, your accomplishments speak well, as I recall the days when you as
a warrior ventured alone into Silverthorn. And who can forget your victories
over Mandorallen, Dreadlock and Tempus Thales. It is a pity you met your death
only a few days before a full three months on the throne, but things were
meant to be.
The Capitol you built will stand for generations and generations to come. To
some you were known as an Ursuper or a false king, but my eyes, and the eyes

Ulfgar, do you honestly believe you'll have the support you'll need as
king? I, like yourself made a statement after killing the previous king and
declared myself the king. I found out a self-proclaimed king didn't work, and
it took over a month a civil war before the crown was properly handed down to
me by Mandorallen.
Your stunt was anything but impressive. I was to meet Enduval in one on one
battle to end the war between Caritas and Krondor (and the point that I lived
longer than Enduval is of no concern). You do not have the true makings of a
king, for which king his is right mind would attack members of the Troll Army,
the strongest in the realm.

Many of my vassals seem to be concerned with the thought of another civil
war. Let me squelch your fears.
- The assault on the Dome was made by less then half of my personal
Guard.
- Of that half over half of them have left to fight again (if need be).
I am tired of fighting and would like peace to reign so that construction may
begin. You will note that anyone who has ever cast a slur on my name is
conspicuously dead. I will welcome constructive criticism, but any who speak
of rebellion will immediately have thier lands taken from them and thier
entire population executed.
My troops stand ready, but I am hoping they will be able to put down their
weapons, and pick up tools for the benefit of the Land.
As well forces both internal and external are urging me to resign as
Guildmaster, and I hereby submit my resignation. I believe a new Guildmaster
will probably emerge in the near future.

accepted my invitation to offer his experience and wisdom so that the land may
be governed properly. I would also invite others to apply for a position:

Others do not hesitate to apply.
I plan to resign as King in six weeks, and at that time nominations will be
accepted by the Council and a public forum on the worthiness of the
applications. The council will vote in the new King. I would suggest that
those on Council would be in a good position to apply, as they could then vote
for themselves.
I would also ask any engineers to send me mail, the pay is good. I believe
the first task will be to construct a road across the Southern Continent. Any
input from my Vassals in thsi area would be appreciated.

The Assassins guild is disbanded and used as a scouting force for the royal
army.
Troll Kingdom will be independent as usual and no foriegn troops will be
there.
The Orcs are dealt with.
If Ulfgar does step down as king in 6 weeks.
The sign from the gods was most likely a cry for Captain Max D. Troll had
passed away. He was around since the Fredricks and was a troll of honor and
he died the best way for a Troll in combat.
Torid, since you feel as if you failed in your duty then you should guard
Goon Dome and allow no one to enter. The bodies of the Captain, Enduval, and
Gamer along with the Troll Guard should be buried there and the Dome stand as
a Monument to them all. Any found in the Goon Dome shall be killed.

I do not presume to rule over Trolls, even though I am half orc. Troll
Kingdom will remain as a seperate entity as always.
Though it grieves me, I see the neccessity and if this transfer of power can
continue smoothly, I will turn my Knights over to the hunting and kiling of
Orcs. There will be much discussion at the next meeting of the Guild as to
where they are headed in the future. I will pass on your recommendation that
they become Trackers, it would do a lot for they're poor image. Perhaps they
can be used in hunting the Orcs.

services in the Engineering field to help with the building I would like to
do. It is well known that you are a Master in this field.
