I must say I for one have been shocked to say the least of the events which
occured over the past few days.
I entered Goon Dome to meet Enduval in a one on one fight to the death. This
was a battle of honor for both Caritas and Krondor. However it was interrupted
by the Assassin's Guild, and you killed my opponent in the battle. I was to
fight Enduval with the crown at stake. The Caritas Knights realized the death
of their leader was possible for Enduval would be a worthy opponent, and they
were ordered by myself not to attack Krondor should I fall at the sword of the
wizard.
Whether I could have defeated Enduval or not, I will never know, but that is
no longer any concern. The way I see it, the war between Krondor and Caritas
is over.
Now comes the matter concerning the one who has self-proclaimed himself the
king. Ulfgar, how do you figure you are the king? To become the king you must
either have the support of the lords, or have the crown passed on to you by
the former king. You are not of noble blood, and have admitted to killing some
lords and nobles in my realm, so how you intend to get the lords supporting
you baffles me. I'm not about to hand the crown to yourself unless you can
prove yourself worthy of such a possession.
Your soldiers triple teamed me and after knocking me unconscious, you let
lay there to rot. Well you see, I don't go down that easy. It is true that
you've weakened me, but you haven't truly defeated me. You will now face me
directly and the might of the Caritas Knights, and the Strikeforce.
As for you Flavius Flyer, your lordship is withdrawn for your involvment in
this affair (it was Knightflyer7 which was the blow knocking me unconscious)
and you will also face the Caritas Knights.
I am sure within the next few days you'll see even more opposition. So save
yourself the time and surrender to the Caritas Knights.
It seems befitting though, the self proclaimed lord can go down with his
companion, the self proclaimed king.

If you don't want the fighting to continue, why did you attack in the first
place? Did you think that you walk into Goon Dome during a battle of honor,
kill the combantants and some of the host's guards and then walk away and
claim the throne without seeing any retailiation? If you didn't want the
bloodshed you shouldn't have made the attack in the first place.
As for the throne, I've already said either get the support of the lords in

Ah it seems that some evil and most foul deal with the Devil himself has
granted}i Great Gamer more time on this realm, but if I was to go looking for
a soul, it would not be in the area of this revived Great Gamer. I know this
for Knightflyer 7 reported that the head came away from the neck of Great
Gamer before he met his demde his demise at the sword of Bandit3. Well, our
alliance between me and Ulfgar is out and know that the realm shall quake in
fear at the power of our combined armies.
Come with your strength Great Gamer but know that we do not listen to
supposed commands for many saw with their own eyes the corpse of thy foul body
and already pledged their loyality to Ulfgar. Know that when we met again
that I will use my sword to cut you into tiny pieces so that you will be
unrecognizable to your dark allies of the deeper planes.

Let me speak as one who has fought in the Battle of The Dome and still walks.
Although Ulfgar's assasin's slid by me, they never left the Keep. Indeed one
is still held in my captain's stockade. Not trying to become embroiled in any
argument, I tell all that the battle raged most intently, with honorable
fighting from BOTH sides, yet Ulfgar never entered our gates, although making
valant attempts from the east, at last the battle came to a standoff with an
orderly withdrawl, the fact of a Knightflyer in our stockade, standing as
testimony. I have seen Gamer, weakened and sorely battle worn, in the temple
after Ulfgar's forces had withdrawn, and his head; I may assure you; was
firmly attached to his neck.

I would agree to either vote or duel. Although I think I have already shown
that duels can be fixed. Perhaps, three chars. on a hex. One is neutral to
record who attacked who in the log file, and if this char. is killed then the
duel is void. I believe I have more support then you amongst the Lords anyway
Gamer. What have you acomplished in three months. Nothing. I will overhaul
the Legal System, as well as provide for public healing, markets, and
transportation systems. My goals as King are to inprove the whole Land, not
just build a redundant monstosity in one isolated place.
Swear fealty to me Gamer, or loose your claim to Duchy Caritas as well,
because if not I will give it to one more deserving.
You are not the only one who has private consultations with the Lords.

I will be the first to admit my first three months as the king produced
very little results, with the exception of a large keep called the Capitol
which hasn't been used. During those three months I was busy in war against
Krondor. However before I entered Goon Dome, I made a promise, which was if I
walked out as the king, I would budget all of my time with my subjects.
I have left the Dome with the crown, and can now tend to the needs of the
lords and my subjects. As of this day, my engineer has completed his studies,
and will be most valuable now that I will be budgeting my time towards my
subjects which have allowed me to remain in power.
My goals for the realm have not changed since my corination, and to ensure
I'm not distracted from those goals by Ulfgar and Fluvius Flyer, the General
of the Caritas Knights will be looking after ALL matters concerning the
knights and the defense of Caritas.
The Capitol shall not be moved. 973 (on the old map) has always been the
historic Capitol since the reign of the Fredericks, and I am surprised Ulfgar
made the suggestion of moving the Capitol to Silverthorn. The Caritas Knights
will soon once again inhabit the Capitol gates, and till that time, all are
welcome (except assassins of course...:-)). Anyone already there should leave
myself or the prince mail so that there won't be any problems later when the
knights come home.

Right now I'd say the greatest threat would be the Orc-King. I recall the
trouble he stirred for Mandy, and I for one don't want to live under
Orc-rule.
Don't duel to settle this. Gamer, you have the experience in fighting, and you
too know the strength of the Orcs. Ulfgar, you seem to have the fighters in
the case of an Orc invasion (I'm not saying the Caritas Knights can't handle
the job).
If all the armies were on the same side, the probability of fending off the
Orcs will be that much greater.

Hail short lived mortals, for now the Valar have come to this land to clear
a path for the elder children, who are elves....

Being the forerunner of the Valar I wish to discover who rules this land, I
have noted that there are 2 centers of power at this time, being centered
around Gamer and Ulfgar....But with my true sight I also percieve that thy
fight over a crown long ago sullied by the betrayal of its rightful owner who
is left without heir. This has brought a doom upon the crown and since that
dreadful day, evil has ever fallowed the crown.
Gamer sought to cleanse the crown by doing honorable battle with another
but his attempt at redeeming the crown was thwarted and the evil wrought evil
once more.....As the duel was foiled by the assasin Ulgar.....Then claiming
the soiled crown from Gamer, who was but unconsious, he proclaimed himself
king.....Thus again bringing doom upon himself, and those that are destined to
follow him....

So I say to you, the younger children , who would have such a man as his
lord?

I come with news of the Valar, the forrunners of the elves, , to say unto
you....do not follow the way of these men, but yet look to a new leader who
will come out of the past, for the Valar will find for you a leader true of
heart and if you will recieve him, we will grant a new crown, one of gold, and
the kingdom will once again be united and under a single house....

We also wish it to be known that the house of Krondor has not yet been
uterly distroyed, and there lives still an hier to Krondor, though he and his
men are not yet willing to reveal themselves.....

I challenge you to peace. If you stop calling yourself a King, as nobody, but
you believes it, I will do the same. We will attempt to populate every Keep,
and the Council of LOrds will be the ruling body, making decisions by vote.
Each Lord having 1 vote. This will prevent the depression of the past three
months from continuing, because at least with or without your support the
COuncil would be able to go ahead and do things for the Land. As I see it
now, any may correct me if I am wrong, the current Lords and those who should
be on the Council are:

Ulfgar, we can fill every keep with respectable lords and nobles. However,
I am to be the king, at least for now. I've been informed some interesting
ideas have surfaced inside your warden, and I also know the best oppurtunity
for you receive the crown (without fighting) would be to accept the offer
Warlord proposed to me in mail.
As for Foamfollower, I do not recognize him as a lord for three reasons, he
hasn't applied for his own keep, neither the Council or myself granted him the
lordship, and he has no alias account and every lord must have one.
As of yet, I have heard no lord speak up and announce their support for you,
so I will make the assumption you do not have the support you speak of.

I've already killed one guy alined to them and it was a joke. It seems to me

I think a few have misunderstood what I've meant. Orc Scouting Party 7 has
already reported back to the Orc-King, and an Orc invasion may be near. We
need everyone to be fighting against the Orcs in order to be sucessful, so in
other words this problem between Gamer and Ulfgar must be solved.
I believe I have a solution to this which I already expressed in mail to King
Gamer. I believe Gamer should stay on as the king in the realm, and Ulfgar be
given a title equivalent of a prince and be named the heir to the throne when
either Gamer resigns or has a fatal accident.

I now own Silverthorn, and it is to be my home in the near future, when I get
around to cleaning out the cobwebs. It appears that Bandit3 is in command of
Goon Dome, and as such I recognize him as a Lord, and welcome him to my
Council. I have granted Stonefist to Foamfollower as he is worthy and it has
long stood empty. The Capital I believe is owned by Gamer, but I wouldn't say
that he runs it as I imagine he is not often home.

Goblins are a new pest that seem to be alied with the Orcs. My sources tell me
that the Orcs that we have witnessed are a small scouting group sent hither by
the Orc King of Rivendell, who is said to have his main Keep in the far north
of that land. Judging from communications interceped a larger invation force
may be in the makings, although it is hoped High Lord Elron still has control
of the Portal there.

Well i admit that High Tech Knight's actions were uncivilized, but they remind
me of my younger days. I throw my support behind you Tech Knight and would
ask Bandit3 to remove his troops from your area. SUch actions against Council
members can not be tolerated, but I think in this case there is a loophole.
Bear Crusher was invited to join the Council, but in the total existence of
this new Council he has not once accepted his Membership or acknowledged our
body.For these reasons I don't consider him a Council Member and the Knight is
guilty of no crime in my eyes.
Further more it has been reported that many Orcs and Goblins, Valar and such
like were found very near this Keep. Perhaps Bear Crusher's silence to the
Council and these evil forces in the vicinity of his Keep are related.
Perhaps Bear Crusher was secretly in league with these foul creatures.
In this case High Tech Knight should be praised for these vermin can no longer
use this Keep as they please. He has offered his assistance where Bear
Crusher when prompted did not. In the time of this impending invasion let us

One of characters went out to collect some rations from his field (for he was
running a bit low) when to his amazement, he discovered 21240 rations, but
when he went to harvest a mere 10000 of these, he discovered some foul
trickery. Most of these rations were illusionary. When he then havested 20
rations things really got wild. As he staightened up from his toiling, he
banged his head on a branch and a quick look around confirmed his fears. (the
cultivated land is now woods 8-) ). A Another glance down then confirmed his
suspisions that his cultivated field was well buried under the roots of these
mighty fields.
Undiscouraged, our young farmer went north to plant new fields. The foul
trickery was still at play for when he planted, the grocer took his 110sp
but the seeds disappeared as they reached the ground. At this point the
farmer retired with exhaustion and when looking over himself he discovered his
movement points were now -11000 or so... He quit here and a friend carried him
home.

Well my troops have tracked the outlaw High Tech Warrior. More dishonor has
been committed by this criminal! It seems, perhaps with the help of Orcs, he
forced his way into stonefist to take refuge in a storehouse. My Troops
finding the gates battered entered fearing for Lord Foamfollower's life. They
found Bull, one of High Tech's gang mentioned in the Log File above, and
exicuted him on the spot. Continueing on they found many Orcs and High Tech
hiding in the Storehouse. Foamfollower, although wounded by Orcs, was still
alive and asked Bandit3's Troops to aid him. They cleared out the remaining
Orcs inside the Keep, locked all Markets and Temples and proceeded on thier
original task of kicking in the door of the outlaw's last stand. They
succeeded with the aide of brave Stephan who died in the cause. High Tech was
found cowering behing Silvan Elf who had honor enough to battle, and repulse
the Dome Guards. They withdrew to regroup and have again sealed off escape
from these vermin. Bandit3 offered High Tech the chance to lay down his arms
and be taken into custody, until the Council decides his fate, yet coward that
he is, he choose to hid behind the brave Elf. It is again, as darkness falls,
a standoff between High Tech Knight and Dome Forces inside Stonefist Keep. We
thank the gods that Lord Foamfollower was able to be saved. More
re-enforcements are onroute from the Dome to secure Lord Foamfollower's
safety.

A slightly jaded view I think Bandit3. You were about to finsih me with your
wimpy Dome Guards when I reminded you that I had accepted your duel. Seeing
the strength and fortitude in my demeanour you wimped out by insisting I be
shackled and chained, and marched like a slave to the Coliseum. Maybe a
Bandit would submit to this treatment, but not a Knight. You would have had
me exposed to numerous diseases designed to sap the strength. Using this as a
loop hole you attack the poor elf with your guards, still to afraid to show
yourself. I say again I will accept the duel, but that I will march into the
Dome alone.
Speaking of breaking into Keeps, I don't believe Foamfollower enjoyed you
kicking his front door in. As for me leaveing a trail it was those stupid
Orcs, and I hope you rot in hell Link (you little midgit who trys to pretend
he is a Council member by his tome). I picked the gates and was well hidden
when those foul smelling creatures came barging in. I have no realtion to
them, and even though you will not acknowledge it that is why I killed Bear
Crusher as he was harbouring them in his Keep. But then again those Orcs and
the Dome Guards did arrive about the same time. Hmmm.... Kill me
dishonourably and the rest of my Order of High Tech Knights will hunt you 'til
you drop and every Dome Guard is dead. Your other alternative is to prepare
yourself to die in combat against me. I will meet you in the Dome in 7-10
days.

Enough! My forces have taken high losses and I blame myself in my lackness. I
can only assume that the Orcs wanted a spring board base to get at the
trolls. I have decided that the fugitives in my store house being on my land
and in my keep will work for me to replace those lost guards. As long as both
parties agree. I will hold a trial after we have cleaned up the Orcs to
decide their fait. Quite a few people have ripped down my gates none to few
of them Lords. Some I will deal with on a personal level in mail. Bandit3
came to my aid and lost many men doing it and I thank him. As for the Orcs
they will be punished properly. Link you already have your punishment as you
died sniveling on the end of Sir Stephans sword. At present I am leaning
heavily on my sword with orcs bodies piled high around me. The smell of which
is being worse then my injuries. I will adress the rest of the Lords privatly

From the gossip I am getting and from what my liege told me before he died.
Beearcrusher was a first level wimp and his keep was crawling with the enemy.
After my Lord Foamfollower told me about what happened in his keep I was able
to pick up other pieces of information through the Assanins Guild. Bandit3
was there after Nigel failed in his attempt to breach my Lords gates. My lord
executed his character Troll Foot Soldier 3 for this deed. Bandit3 then came
looking for High Tech Knight in my Lords keep without asking permision. High
Tech Knight was found in a store house and my Lord lost two soldiers ousting
him. My lord then seeing the need for the other Lords to work together and
clean the lands of Orcs took High Tech Knight into custody and pressed into
service with the understanding that he would be tried by the council after the
battles. Bandit3 seemed to agree and helped my Lord cleanse his keep of Orcs
who had invaded it. However Bandit3 is nothing more than a common criminal
like High Tech Knight and his word is worth nothing. He continued to attack
people in the keep of another Lord and killed my second in command with the
help of Snake Eyes Troll. This is a crime for which he was supposedly
tracking High Tech Knight for. Bandit3 the worm can live his life for the
next 4 months but at the end of that time the Assasins Guild will return and
he will be first on their list of hits (and they haven't missed yet). Snake
Eyes is nothing more than a lowly thief and since he is in Nigels charge I
assume all the worms and common born trash are working together. As for the
other Lords in the realm, when my liege asked for there aid they all cowered
in their keeps afraid of the Orcs. My liege killed five himself before they
gave up on him. I can see that these Orcs are not strong but I hope they
purge the land of all the base born scum calling themselves Lords and then
acting like criminals and cowards.

I think the farming routines are functioning once again. They were overlooked
in upgrade from 'Thy Kingdom Come' to 'Thy Will Be Done'. Cultivated Hexes
that have already gone over 500 rations may change to Forest Type once
harvested. As this tends to make sence, that overgrown fields should become
Forest, I am not going to worry about it. Besides the map could use more
Forest Hexes.

To test with XANSI windowing I have installed a test program in the FIX Door.
To test this, one would need MORTAL.COM Terminal Package from the Download
room's directory. Test Players with this package, I would appreciate that they
run FIX, while using MORTAL and let me know what the screen does. It is
supposed to divide the screen in half and print some output to one side and
some to the other side, then quit.

The FIX Door has been tested and is operational. Players with IBM compatables
are advised to download MORTAL.COM from the Download room's directory for
future use. This will allow you to have windowing over remote once the
commands are installed inthe game software. For example the Option 5 map of
the movement menu will remain on the right side of the screen until refreshed,
even when you leave the movement menu. More windows will be added to things
like character sketch etc. Should speed game play up considerably.
